Qloud Games calls itself a small indie studio running an MMO, and the systems reflect that: one persistent world, servers you can move between, shared builds, and a solo path that is not penalised. Cross-play is the one thing still unresolved.

Quote: “Cross-play is something we're aiming for! We're currently conducting research and testing to help us decide if we can support it. We can't promise it just yet” — Loftia FAQ, accessed 2026-10-20.

Topology

How the world is wired

Drawn from the studio’s own description of persistent space and server structure.

PERSISTENT WORLD Solo player no progress penalty Group of friends any number Neighbourhood linked islands Server Apopulation shard Server Bpopulation shard World Projects community builds dome rebuild · energy sites Shared spaces neighbourhood farms group adventures switch freely

Quote: “Only players on the same server will be able to play together, but you will not be locked to any server, so you can join your friends whenever you want.” — Loftia FAQ. World Projects quote from loftia.gg/demo, accessed 2026-10-20.

01

One persistent world

Loftia runs as a persistent online space rather than instanced sessions, which is what makes shared builds and World Projects possible.

Quote: “This means that the world of Loftia exists in a persistent, online space that large numbers of players can experience together, all at the same time.”

02

Servers you are not locked to

Servers exist to hold the population, but you can move between them to reach friends.

Quote: “Only players on the same server will be able to play together, but you will not be locked to any server, so you can join your friends whenever you want.”

03

Solo is a supported path

Playing alone does not gate progress; the studio states almost all content stays open to solo players.

Quote: “Loftia can be enjoyed both solo, and together with others - it's completely up to you!”

04

Cross-play is not settled

The team is testing whether cross-play can be supported and has not committed. Buying on two platforms means buying twice.

Quote: “Please note that you will need to purchase the game on each platform that you wish to play it on.”

Open question

Cross-play: not promised

The studio is testing whether cross-play can be supported and has said explicitly it cannot promise it. What is confirmed: buying on one platform does not grant the game on another.

Quotes: “Cross-play is something we're aiming for! We're currently conducting research and testing to help us decide if we can support it. We can't promise it just yet” and “Please note that you will need to purchase the game on each platform that you wish to play it on.” — Loftia official FAQ.
