When does Loftia launch in Early Access?

Which platforms at launch?
Steam and the Epic Games Store, on Windows and macOS. Nintendo Switch is planned for 2027. Steam Deck is supported and the game plays with a controller.

Is there a physical edition?
Not for Early Access. The studio says a physical release may be considered later.

Which languages are supported?
Fourteen at Early Access: English, German, French, Simplified Chinese, Spanish (ES), Spanish (LATAM), Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Indonesian, Russian, Thai and Turkish. Traditional Chinese and Polish are named as later additions.

Price and monetisation
How much does it cost?
US$29.99 with regional pricing. A limited 17% launch discount takes it to US$24.89.

Is it subscription based?
No. Buy once and play. The Nintendo Switch version will still need Nintendo Switch Online, which is Nintendo’s fee rather than the studio’s.

What are the Backer Boutique and Community Pass?
The Backer Boutique sells cosmetic outfits, furniture, pet accessories and visual effects only. The Community Pass unlocks extra cosmetic rewards attached to World Projects, and those rewards do not expire once a project is finished.

No paid expansions are planned and new content is free for owners. The studio states there will be no gacha mechanics.

Playing together
Can I play alone?
Yes. Solo play does not block progress and almost all content stays available.

Do I need to be online?
Yes, on every platform. There is no offline mode.

Is cross-play supported?
Not confirmed. The team is researching it and has not promised it. Buying on more than one platform means buying the game again.

Can I romance characters or other players?
Not at this stage. Friendships with NPCs are planned as a later addition.

How long is the demo available?

Does demo progress carry over?
Yes, progress and your character name carry into Early Access. A claimed name is released only if you fail to log in between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027.

How high can proficiencies go in the demo?
Level 5. Early Access removes that ceiling.

Unanswered on purpose
What the studio has not confirmed
- Cross-play. Being researched, explicitly not promised.
- Recommended PC spec. Only a minimum is published; the FAQ redirects to Steam.
- Mac specification. macOS is supported, no hardware figure published.
- Nintendo Switch release date. Only “2027”.
- Endgame and content cadence. The demo page says more information will be added before launch.
